The DTS-35 is a rugged, strong and very compact telescopic slide, which has been designed for load maximisation from a small space envelope. The DTS-35 an extreme load/duty, full extension telescopic slide (50-120 kg/pair). At 550mm 1 pair has a full extension load capacity of 100 kg. Constructed from cold drawn steel sections and fitted with caged ball bearings, the DTS-35 telescopic slide has an excellent level of resistance to shock and vibration when supporting a dynamic load in the closed position. Accordingly, this slide is well suited to mounting on vehicles. This is a very strong compact slide, utilising the I beam format, which offers high resistance against axial and coaxial torque loading. Resulting in minimal deflection at full extension and low operating forces.

Additional product variations can be produced with bespoke closed lengths, extensions, mounting options, surface treatments and stainless ball bearings/cages. The DTS-35 drawer slide may also be fitted in the minor axis (flat). However, the load capacity will be reduced by 60-80% of the stated loading. It can be supplied with a 120% extension which will reduce the load slightly. Please consult our sales engineers for this no cost option.

The production process is ISO9001-2015 accredited. Our steel telescopic slides are manufactured from cold drawn steel C45E+C in accordance with EN 10277. Laser cut ball cages are manufactured from zinc plated sheet metal, and the ball bearings are carbon steel C85 G100 in accordance with DIN 5401. Standard Professional Range steel slides are RoHS & REACH certified to withstand over 1,000 hours corrosion protection, until the appearance of red rust. This is due to the investment made in our own state of the art electrolytic alkaline zinc processing facility. Core steel C45 E+C, with a layer depth of 10-12 microns conforming to DIN EN ISO 9227 neutral salt spray testing. No white rust appearance within 120 hours. No red rust within 1,032 hours.

An individual slide weighs 3.12 kg per metre.

Aerospace

Following thorough research in house and at our manufacturing facilities we can offer a slide which is particularly suited to aircraft seating. The full aerospace range is fitted with cross roller bearings, due avoid any effect of brinelling.

The 5220 Radial Slide (140-154kg/pair) is made from high strength aircraft allows which has be rigorously tested to outperform standard ball bearing models.

The T6 aircraft grade aluminium beams have milled race tracks for tolerance. The surface finish is black hardened anodised as standard, other finishes are available on request.

The cross-roller bearings are made from precision hardened steel and chromed rods, it is possible to fit them with Delrin if the project requires light weight, performing slides.

7075 -T6 aluminium provides a high strength material, commonly used in aircraft fittings with a Rockwell A hardness 53.5 and an ultimate tensile strength of 572 Mpa.

The 450mm length with a 480mm travel has been independently (cyclically and abuse) tested to 60,000 cycles with a 100kg load, passing all criteria for aircraft seating use.

If required products manufactured from high grade stainless steel can be supplied offering highest levels of corrosion resistance and low magnetic signatures.

Slide Drawers

Solid section steel slides lengths from 300mm to 2,000mm for pull-out equipment drawers. Extensions from 50% to 150% of closed length can be supplied, in addition slide systems that offer sequential dual extension with bi-directional travel allowing the drawer to extened from either side of the vehicle. This enables rescue crews to access vital equipment quickly and safely, regardless of the vehicle's orientation to the emergency scene.

Systems

Our range of reinforced heavy duty steel slides fitted with additional ball tracks and reinforceing ball bearings are ideally suited for use in some of the more unique applications. Together with a range of slides designed using a rigid "I" beam construction our products offer execelent performance under conditions that may exert high direct and tortional loadings as experienced in such applications as pull-out equipment boards and vertical shelves.

Trays

Following extensive testing on selected models our slides are used by the U.K.'s leading producers of complete equipment carriers. These complete tray systems are ready for quick installation, including bespoke mountings for specialist equipment such as auxilliary pumps, tools, hoses and rescue equipment.

Lock-in and lock-out mechanisms facilitate quick and safe operation of the equipment carrier, as well as hold the fully-loaded drawer securely in position when the vehicle is in motion or at the scene.

Furniture & Architecture

We are delighted to be able to advise our customers on the most diverse projects possible.

One day we could be talking to an ambitious DIY customer who wants to install a removable console tray in his game room and the next project could be a whole building interior refurbishment destined for micro flats. Whilst each project represents different challenges and requirements we are confident in finding a suitable slide or linear rail.

Standard furniture fittings will suit the Thomas Regout or Fulterer range of rolled steel slides and linear rail. Whereas high end architectural furniture design may call for aluminium drawer slides, such as the 8027/8028 or the aluminium T6 slide from our professional range.

To suit yacht interior design, we can supply Viadana chandlery and stainless steel 316L telescopic slides.

Marine - Non Corrosive

The need for storage is not confined to land structures, every seaworthy structure requires a multitude of pull outs or heavy-duty generator tray. We can offer the widest range of stainless steel 316L telescopic slides and non- corrosive tool mounts.

For interior fittings we suggest 304 stainless steel slides, larger heavy-duty applications are covered with our specialist bottom mount General Devices D1050/D1054 slide. The latter allows the user to look a generator tray in the opened and closed position. Bottom mount slides are useful for applications where space is limited thus a traditional drawer slide installation is not suitable. The poxy coating offers some corrosion resistance but achieve full corrosion resistance, we suggest stainless steel 316L which can be supplied upon customer request.

Our full professional range DTS is now available in marine grade stainless steel 316L which includes the end stops and ball cages. With low profiles starting from 40mm up to profile height and lengths up to 2000mm we are confident to be able to supply a complete range.

As a distributor of the prestigious yacht and boating equipment manufacturer Viadana SRL, we are also able to support your yachting project with their full chandlery range.

Merchant Vessels

Whether specifying product for a 19" electronic rack or to mount standby generator, the telescopic slide system needs to retain rigidity and be safe to operate despite ship motion and vibration.

Our range includes heavy duty stainless steel slides (partial or full extension), and can be bespoke engineered with a range of options in respect of surface hardening, strengthening and corrosion resistant finishes to ensure flawless operation in the chosen application.

Oil Rigs

Telescopic slide components for storage and equipment stowage areas; slide and linear rail components for operational machinery. Whilst offshore installations are generally static structures and so do not require the telescopic slide components to be able to withstand the same dynamic forces, issues of corrosion and the ability to operate reliably in the marine environment remain unchanged.

From high precision roller-bearing slides and systems through to standard stainless steel slides for use in staff accommodation areas, we are able to provide expert input and select an appropriate product from its range to match the application.

We are a privately-owned company, established over 30 years and our slides and tool mounts cover every possible application within the catering and hospitality industry.

Our speciality are bespoke telescopic slides suited to catering trailers and full van conversions.

If you require a light load slide we suggest using our standard rolled steel slides covered in this section, for larger full vehicle conversions up to 2000kg we recommend our cold drawn steel section I beam heavy duty slides. The rigidity and strength of the material used in the manufacture, without use of plastic components, make the slides appropriate for heavy duty usage which demand resistance to shock and vibration.

In addition to telescopic slides project we supply auxiliary equipment to fix pipes or other tools.

Our Fulterer range of slides comply with NSF food grade specifications to allow for installation of our drawer slide in direct contact with food.

Special & Commercial Vehicles

Our telescopic slides and tool mounts cover even the most demanding project for commercial vehicles. Smaller, lighter duty rolled steel or solid section slides from our General Devices range will suit a keyboard tray or a display screen, whereas cold drawn steel section slides will fit requirements for full vehicle extension such as mobile broadcast vehicles carrying several 1000kg’s.

With our flexible production facilities, we can accommodate any project and are pleased to assist with special requests whenever possible. Applications involving shock and vibration call for heavy duty, cold drawn steel section slides which we are also able to supply in 316L marine grade stainless steel. If weight or corrosion resistance are parameters that are important we suggest Aluminium T6 section slides, available in load capacities up to 330kg.

Outdoor applications can be fixed in place with specialist marine grade 316L hooks, which safely hold tool boxes or vehicle covers in place.

Trains

From heavy duty under-train battery rafts to high-repeat door systems and, increasingly, sliding seat systems, Sliding Systems has products that suit all of these applications

Battery Rafts

Heavy duty specialist slide components for mounting under-train battery rafts. The slides must, like the carriage as a whole, comply with crash testing criteria and, as high speed trains become ever more prevalent, there is an increasing requirement that the slides are able to hold heavy battery sets in position despite large dynamic loads.

Battery bays can also house a corrosive atmosphere over long periods, and therefore careful specification of corrosion resistant finishes are required. The nitration option available onour relevant product range provides this resistance as well as considerably strengthening the surface structure of the slide itself.

To facilitate ease of fitting and maintenance, GSF is able to design bespoke fitting brackets including, for example, positioning pins.

Despite improvements to train suspensions, running with metal wheels on metal tracks also makes vibration and shock relevant issues to consider in slide design. Finally, as battery rafts constitute one of the heaviest loads typically mounted on slides, careful consideration is required to the consequent force required to push-in or pull-out the battery raft and the strength and shock-reduction characteristics of the end stops. These are all critical factors that should direct the slide specification.

Doors

The use of telescopic slides or linear rails to mount train doors requires a product able to deal with both the dynamic loads and crash survival criteria that are inevitably relevant to train-based applications. In addition the components have to operate reliably and with low maintenance requirements over a very high number of repetitions. Doors on underground trains are required typically to open and close up to 20 times an hour day after day over the working life of the carriage.

To withstand such a high level of repetitions, the ball bearings and the associated ball track tracks need to be hardened to resist pitting and corrosion. Cold drawn steel slides also perform better over time, as the slide profile is less prone to long term profile deformation than is the case for cold rolled profiles.

Seating

Train operators are increasingly offering adjustable seating in first class passenger compartments. Simplicity and durability are key determinants of which linear rail and slide components will work successfully in ensuring that the seat operates reliably as intended and without a requirement for maintenance activity.
