Standard stainless material is ferritic grade 1.4509 (441), with smoothed edges. Roller cages are grade 1.4034 (420). Delrin is used in the construction of the rollers. Delrin has properties similar to metal, with a high tensile strength, impact resistance and rigidity. The rollers are self-lubricating and very resistant against grime, wear and tear.
Standard stainless slides are temperature rated from -20 to +80 Deg. C (-4 to +200 Deg. F). On request, some models can be manufactured in heat resistant versions for temperatures from –40 to +210 °C. Roller bearing slides are dynamically cycle tested to 50,000 cycles, slide length 600mm, using all available fastening holes.
All stainless steel slides are NSF-tested and meet the highest public health and safety standards. The NSF (National Sanitation Foundation) is an internationally recognised institution for the development of and compliance with hygiene standards in the food-processing industry. The NSF-quality certificate is issued following inspection and the appropriate fulfilment of all NSF requirements.
The latest technical development, Retrofittable ECD (Easy Close Device) is a pull-back system which gently closes the drawer and is also available, upon request, for stainless steel slides.
