We’re not the type of business to put the answerphone on and disappear for a couple of weeks!
Sales Office Manager, Colleen Roberts explains why we decided to have complete cover for enquiries and orders over what is normally a flat period in engineering:
“It became evident mid December that business was not slowing down and we had to guarantee the same level of support throughout Christmas and New Year. The simple fact is that we actually got busier as a result of our competitors switching their answerphones on. We’re a global business which runs direct sales platforms non stop, 24/7 and that means engineers need to be available to provide full technical support”.
“Festive orders were taken from the UK, Germany, Dubai, Singapore, USA and Turkey on Christmas morning (no pun intended!) Our Engineering Director started a new project at 7am and completed it just as the turkey was served. The order arrived with the Christmas pudding he reckons. Whilst the customer was very pleased at the service, he too has an international business to support and one which relies upon prompt service.” We even received an online order from France whilst posting this blog update…..
