The Professional Range of heavy duty telescopic slides manufactured from 6082 T6 aluminium beams with stainless steel 316L bearings and cages. We are able to bespoke manufacture virtually any alloy for OEM requirements. Particularly suited to military, bio-science and airborne applications where the right choice of materials affects performance. End stops and retaining pins are made from grade 304 stainless, providing a highly corrosion resistant alloy slide.
The ADTSB-40 is a high quality, smooth, full extension slide with milled ball tracks for accuracy and a slight pre-load. There is a choice of surface finishes available. Supplied with a standard anodisation. Please consult our engineers for other surface finishes available.
ADTSB slides on accurate robotic pick & place or high speed shuttles require factory adaptation and customer in situ testing, prior to committing to production. The beams are precision ground for accuracy and ball cages laser cut. However, constant low force usage will lead to some bearing migration without an operator to realign about every 2,000 cycles. The slides are limited to operational speeds of <0.3m/s. We are starting a laser hardening programme for the ball races, to launch in Jan 2024. This will increase the hardness to 62hrc, operational speeds to 0.7m/s and reduce the operational forces to traverse. This will make the slide ideal for robotic usage with a substantial economy over expensive induction hardened beams.
The low weight ADTSB-40 slide has a loading of 125kg at 600mm. The slide is designed for full travel front and rear. This is facilitated by an internal rocker system which holds and releases beams in sequence. The first beam will extend fully and only at that point will the second beam be released. A single ADTSB-40 slide weighs 2.24kg per metre.
Prices are per single slide. Loadings are given per extended pair. There are two slides per pair. The ADTSB-40 is manufactured to order. Please allow 5-6 weeks for delivery or can be stocked for immediate call off against scheduled orders.
