Aluminium Radial Rails are a cost effective but high quality benchmark in light to medium duty linear motion. Manufactured via the same process as our Radial Telescopic Slides,
these have a milled raceway which precisely supports the sealed rollers, ensuring full radial contact and eliminating brinelling.

The rails come in three profile sizes - 32, 52 and 80mm supplied in any length up to 5 metres. Rails are supplied undrilled as standard, with centre-lines clearly marked.
We can supply rail cut and drilled to customer own requirements upon request.

Aluminium Radial Rails are a cost effective but high quality benchmark in light to medium duty linear motion. Manufactured via the same process as our Radial Telescopic Slides, these have a milled raceway which precisely supports the sealed rollers, ensuring full radial contact and eliminating brinelling.

The rails come in three profile sizes - 32, 52 and 80mm supplied in any length up to 5 metres. Rails are supplied undrilled as standard, with centre-lines clearly marked. We can supply rail cut and drilled to customer own requirements upon request.

The carriers come in 3 and 5 bearing lengths for increased stability. Steel bearings are fitted for strength, with Delrin bearings for noise and weight reduction. The carriers are supplied pre-loaded and fitted to each rail. Bearings are customer adjustable to increase or decrease factory settings. Carriers can be detached from the rail without loss of bearings.

Rails e carriers are purchased separately and any quantity can be fitted per rail. If required, rails can be continuously joined. Loads stated are PER CARRIER on the direct axis and will be increased accordingly to how many are fitted and how they are mounted. The load data is reduced by 50% if the rail & carriers are mounted flat, also the rail must be totally supported to achieve maximum loading.

The R32 Rail fitted with carrier has a height of 32mm and a width of 16.5mm. The R32 3 bearing carrier has an individual load capacity of 90N whilst the 5 bearing carrier is 140N. This is increased by adding additional carriers.

CAR3 is a 3 bearing carrier
CAR5 is a 5 bearing carrier
D = Delrin (for silent use): S = Steel (for higher strength)

Available ex-stock, usually on a same day despatch, the rails are supplied undrilled and without end stops as standard. Upon customer request, we can manufacture these to drawing.

Museum Storage

Correct selection and specification of the slide system will ensure maximisation of the space inside the storage or display unit while providing safe and secure access when required.

Workspace Storage

GSF offers a wide range of standardised products that are available direct from stock and which are most suitable for use in workspace desking, tool storage, assembly and operation stations. These products can be purchased free of restrictive minimum order quantities and charges.

Linear

Linear slide systems are designed to support and transfer loads over distance and an be used for either horizontal or vertical movements.

Internal Doors

Linear Rail is generally the preferred component for mounting internal sliding doors.

Marine - Non Corrosive

For interior fittings we suggest 304 stainless steel slides, larger heavy-duty applications are covered with our specialist bottom mount General Devices D1050/D1054 slide. The latter allows the user to look a generator tray in the opened and closed position. Bottom mount slides are useful for applications where space is limited thus a traditional drawer slide installation is not suitable. The poxy coating offers some corrosion resistance but achieve full corrosion resistance, we suggest stainless steel 316L which can be supplied upon customer request.

Our full professional range DTS is now available in marine grade stainless steel 316L which includes the end stops and ball cages. With low profiles starting from 40mm up to profile height and lengths up to 2000mm we are confident to be able to supply a complete range.

As a distributor of the prestigious yacht and boating equipment manufacturer Viadana SRL, we are also able to support your yachting project with their full chandlery range.

Merchant Vessels

Applications can range from slide based storage systems, lockers and furniture, through rack mounted electronic components, and onto operational systems requiring linear movement.

Whether specifying product for a 19" electronic rack or to mount standby generator, the telescopic slide system needs to retain rigidity and be safe to operate despite ship motion and vibration.

Our range includes heavy duty stainless steel slides (partial or full extension), and can be bespoke engineered with a range of options in respect of surface hardening, strengthening and corrosion resistant finishes to ensure flawless operation in the chosen application.

With its extensive expertise and design capability we can work closely with your own engineering team to design and produce complete drawer sub-assemblies, taking account of all the special characteristics required for the product to work effectively in the marine environment.

Oil Rigs

Telescopic slide components for storage and equipment stowage areas; slide and linear rail components for operational machinery. Whilst offshore installations are generally static structures and so do not require the telescopic slide components to be able to withstand the same dynamic forces, issues of corrosion and the ability to operate reliably in the marine environment remain unchanged.

From high precision roller-bearing slides and systems through to standard stainless steel slides for use in staff accommodation areas, we are able to provide expert input and select an appropriate product from its range to match the application.
